Colliers International | Chicago’s Sven Sykes, Tom Volini and Brent Jacob represented Sonova in its new, 63,647-square-foot lease at Stanton Road Capital’s 750 North Commons Drive in Aurora, Illinois. This June, Sonova will bring together three of its existing operations—two from Illinois and one from Minnesota—at the new location.
Switzerland-based Sonova is a leading provider of innovative hearing care solutions. The company also has a state-of-the-art manufacturing and operating facility less than one mile away at Meridian Business Campus in Aurora.
“As Sonova was evaluating its real estate portfolio and developing a strategic site selection plan, it made sense to find space that was near its existing operations and manufacturing hub while offering modern amenities that would benefit our employees,” said Sara Kubin, director of human resources for Sonova USA.
Currently at 85 percent occupancy, 750 North Commons Drive is a 205,000-square-foot, two-building property with flexible occupancy solutions for both office and industrial users. Stanton Road Capital purchased the property off-market in 2018 and is currently implementing its repositioning plan at the building to create a more engaging environment via modern and activated amenities. The plan includes the roll-out of SRC’s tenant amenity concept “The Outpost,” which features a state-of-the-art fitness center, renovated lobby and updated tenant lounge with food and beverage options.
