AURORA — Visionix, a company that develops helmet mounted display (HMD) and motion tracking technologies for the aerospace and defense industries, has completed the renovation of its Aurora office space.
Visionix renovated 24,673 square feet in an industrial and office building owned by Stanton Road Capital at 750 N. Commons Drive in Aurora. The company moved from a previous location within Aurora in mid-2022.
Visionix is a U.S. division of the global technology firm Thales.
“We are excited to relocate our growing Visionix team to this new state-of-the-art facility. This new location enables us to expand our Helmet Mounted Displays design and development capabilities and introduce innovative new product offerings to better support current and future customer requirements,” said Mike Sheehan, president and CEO, Thales Defense & Security Inc.
The building is occupied by several national and international tenants. Stanton Road Capital has invested in upgrades throughout the property, including a new fitness facility, conference facility and cafe, as well as a lobby renovation.
Visionix said it was drawn to the property for its ability to offer a unique and collaborative work environment, and for the property’s modern amenities, which benefit its employees. Using tenant improvement investments from Stanton Road Capital, Thales transformed its space to closely integrate modern office and meeting areas with advanced research and design facilities, such as cockpit simulators.
